She started her design career not designing at all, but wearing tiny ballet slippers in a dance studio. Dance was her first creative outlet and passion. Later, she decided to become a designer because she saw it as a way to learn about all sorts of things through a creative lens. Her passions extend beyond the scope of a traditional graphic design practice and she is hungry to get her hands on as much art, design, and information as possible, pushing the boundaries of what it means to be a designer. She strives to be constantly learning about the field and the things she is making for.
With a particular interest in adding physicality to her graphic design practice, Lucy produces and curates art shows, thinking about experience, systems and environments. In her work she loves the nitty gritty of typography, designing and implementing brand guidelines, and creating experiences.
Outside of her design work catch Lucy upside down in dance class on Saturday mornings or bird watching in Dolores Park with a bottle of kombucha.
